I. Material Definition and Characteristics

High chlorinated polyethylene is a white powder-like polymer material obtained through deep chlorination modification of polyethylene, with a chlorine content usually reaching 60% to 70%. Its core features include:

1. Chemical stability: Resistant to acids and alkalis, oxidation, and ultraviolet degradation;

2. Flame retardant performance: Oxygen index ≥30%, generating asphyxiating gases during combustion to block the flame;

3. Bonding characteristics: The adhesion to metal/concrete substrates reaches over 3 mpa.

4. Environmental adaptability: Maintains stable performance under operating conditions ranging from -30℃ to 120℃.

Ii. Key Production Processes

The aqueous phase suspension chlorination process is adopted, and the main flow is:

Polyethylene raw material → hot melt treatment → carbon tetrachloride solvent dissolution → stepwise temperature rise chlorination → neutralization water washing → centrifugal drying → finished product screening

Note: Modern processes have gradually adopted environmentally friendly solvents to replace carbon tetrachloride
